Studies in NTU
Monday, January 15th, 2007Well, it had quite a week of waiting and sourcing for me in my studies in EEE. My studies had been terminated due to my poor culumulative GPA results over the past 3 sems. Apparently, I didn’t even know about it till I called up to check out why my borrowing priviliges got barred.
Then came the week of learning about how we are supposed to maintained a cumulative GPA score of 2.0 (Grade C) for every sem and I realised there were more information I could see in my studentlink then I ever knew in the 3 semesters combined.
Also quite interesting to know that my batch is the first batch going through the cumulative GPA system.( Previously, people maintain GPA for that sem only, I think) I understand the reason for doing this system is to ensure students get at least a basic degree after 5 years. Those who are struggling get kicked out earlier so that they can look for other places to studies or go into other fields.
Well, I had been forced to source around for what other options I had besides NTU and it makes me more ready to cross over other things if this investment fails.
On the bright side is that I had been given another chance. On the flip side I have to obtain a GPA of 4.5(B+) for this semster to make up for all those poor grades I got for the last 3 semesters.
I really don’t where to start and how to go about doing it. However, I saw a interesting poster during sat FNS forum that says " To gain something you never had, you have to do something you never done before". Guess at least there’s a clue to start with..lol…
WIsh me well,friends.
And Thanks.dear, for all your support even though we are seas apart..
